Cavaliers Turn Down Recent Trade Offers for Rotation Players

The Cleveland Cavaliers have rejected at least two trade proposals involving members of their regular rotation, league sources told The Athletic.

Despite a 6–14 start that already matches 14 defeats—just four shy of last season’s 18—team executives are choosing patience over major roster moves. Incoming calls from rival clubs continue, but the front office has not advanced any discussions, preferring to evaluate the group once it is healthy.

Injuries have kept Cleveland from fielding its projected lineup. Guard Max Strus has been sidelined since undergoing foot surgery in August, and several other starters have missed time as well.

Internally, frustration is described as “real,” yet organizational confidence remains intact. Head coach Kenny Atkinson is not viewed as being on the hot seat, countering speculation about potential changes on the bench.

For now, the club’s stance is to listen, assess and wait, even as league observers anticipate that a more significant decision could emerge if the current slide persists.
