NBA guard Ben Simmons is putting his basketball return on pause to launch a professional fishing career, according to a report published on Dec. 23, 2025.
The three-time All-Star, whose playing rights remain with the Brooklyn Nets, has opted to focus full-time on competitive angling and will not rejoin the league for the foreseeable future, the report said.
