The Memphis Grizzlies have added center Christian Koloko on a 10-day deal under the NBA’s hardship exception, the team announced at 10:25 a.m. ET.

ESPN’s Shams Charania first reported the agreement at 9:54 a.m. ET. Koloko, 25, fills a roster spot created by the Grizzlies’ extensive injury list, which has eight players ruled out for Monday’s road game against the Oklahoma City Thunder.

Koloko opened the season on a two-way contract with the Los Angeles Lakers but was waived in late November when the club signed Drew Timme. He saw six total minutes across two NBA appearances for Los Angeles, recording one rebound and no points.

After clearing waivers, the Austin Spurs claimed the 7-footer’s G League rights. He has logged four G League games this year—two with Austin and two with the South Bay Lakers.

Selected 33rd overall by the Toronto Raptors in the 2022 draft, Koloko posted a solid rookie campaign before blood clots sidelined him for the entire 2023-24 season. Toronto released him in January 2024. The Lakers picked him up on a two-way deal in July 2024, and the NBA’s fitness-to-play panel cleared him three months later.

Across 97 career NBA contests, Koloko owns averages of 2.8 points and 2.7 rebounds in 11.9 minutes.
