The Los Angeles Lakers have released their latest injury report ahead of Saturday’s road game against the Los Angeles Clippers at Crypto.com Arena.
Out: Austin Reaves (left calf strain), Deandre Ayton (left elbow soreness), Gabe Vincent (low back soreness)
Questionable: Rui Hachimura (right groin soreness)
Reaves Still Sidelined
Reaves will sit for a third straight contest because of a strained left calf. Team officials previously indicated the guard was unlikely to miss more than a week, yet the Lakers are opting for caution to ensure he returns at full strength.
Ayton’s Elbow Issue Persists
Ayton also remains unavailable after missing Thursday’s victory over the Utah Jazz. The center has delivered strong scoring and rebounding numbers to open the season, but his elbow soreness continues to keep him off the floor. Jaxson Hayes and Maxi Kleber are expected to share the bulk of the minutes in the middle once again.
Hachimura Added to Injury List
Hachimura appeared on the report for the first time with right groin soreness. The timing of the injury is unclear, and his status for Saturday is in doubt. The forward has been one of the Lakers’ most reliable perimeter shooters this year, making his potential absence significant.
LeBron James Avoids the Report
LeBron James, who briefly clutched his knee after a collision during the win over Utah, is not listed on the latest report. James said the contact caused a sharp pain on the inside of his knee but added he “dodged a bullet” and finished the game without further issues.
The Lakers and Clippers are set to tip off Saturday night in downtown Los Angeles.
