Full List of NBA Players Eligible for Trades After Dec. 15

The NBA calendar flipped to Dec. 15, and with that date 82 free agents who signed new deals last summer can now be included in trades. In all, 90 percent of the league’s 436 contracted players are free of any trade limitation, according to salary-cap expert Bobby Marks.
Below is a look at who can and cannot be moved between now and the Feb. 4 deadline, along with a glossary of the most common restriction types and a club-by-club breakdown of every trade-eligible player.
Key Trade Restrictions
Signing restriction (SR) — Off-season signees are generally blocked from trades until Dec. 15; players who re-signed with Bird or Early Bird rights at 120 percent or more of last season’s salary are locked in until Jan. 15. Any free agent who signed after Sept. 15 is restricted for three months. Extensions covering more than three total years and raising salary more than five percent carry a six-month restriction. Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, who inked a designated veteran extension, cannot be traded until July.
One-year Bird rights (1YB) — Players on one-year contracts with Bird rights may be traded only with their consent, and their Bird rights do not accompany them unless they waive that clause. Jonathan Kuminga did so when he re-upped with Golden State.
Aggregate restriction (AR) — A player acquired in a non-cap-space trade cannot be packaged with other contracts for two months. No current NBA player is under this limitation.
Poison pill provision (PPP) — Applies to a player still in the final year of his rookie deal after signing an extension. His outgoing salary equals the last year of the rookie contract, but incoming money equals the average of the old and new deals. No one with a PPP clause has been dealt since 2008.
No-trade clause (NTC) — Damian Lillard and LeBron James possess the league’s only full NTCs.
Declined rookie-scale option (DRSO) — First-round picks whose third- or fourth-year option was declined may be traded, but the acquiring club is capped at the declined option amount when re-signing the player next summer.
Trade Exceptions and Cap Constraints
Several teams hold sizable trade exceptions, including the Celtics ($22.5 million), Jazz ($18.4 million), Heat ($16.8 million) and Pistons ($14.1 million). Exceptions cannot be used if they push a club past the apron to which it is already hard-capped. Players signed to veteran-minimum deals, such as Chris Paul, may be traded without salary matching.
