The New York Knicks and San Antonio Spurs will square off for the NBA Cup after winning their semifinal matchups Saturday in Las Vegas.

New York 109, Orlando 97. Jalen Brunson poured in 40 points on 16-of-27 shooting and handed out eight assists to propel the Knicks past the Magic. Head coach Mike Brown called the guard “an MVP of the league candidate” after the game. Karl-Anthony Towns added 29 points and nine rebounds, while OG Anunoby finished with 24 points, six rebounds, four assists and three steals. Orlando’s Jalen Suggs recorded 26 points and seven assists before exiting in the third quarter with a left hip injury.

San Antonio 118, Oklahoma City 116. The Spurs snapped the defending champion Thunder’s 16-game winning streak, getting 20-plus points from four players and a key boost from Victor Wembanyama. Returning after a month-long absence due to a left calf strain and coming off the bench for the first time in his career, the rookie produced 22 points, nine rebounds and two blocks in 21 minutes; San Antonio outscored Oklahoma City by 21 during his time on the court. “It’s our first time playing with everybody healthy,” Wembanyama said. “We’re just figuring it out.”

The championship game is scheduled for Tuesday at 7:30 p.m. CT at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas. Both the Knicks and Spurs enter the final with identical 18-7 records.
