CLEVELAND — The Cleveland Cavaliers expect forward Evan Mobley to be out of action for approximately two to four weeks after tests confirmed a Grade 1 strain in his left calf, the team said Saturday.
Mobley reported tightness in the calf following Friday night’s victory over the Washington Wizards. Team medical staff conducted postgame evaluations, and an MRI on Saturday morning confirmed the injury.
The 22-year-old is averaging 19.1 points, 9.3 rebounds and 4.1 assists this season and had missed only one game before the setback. Cleveland did not announce a timeline for his return beyond the projected two-to-four-week window.
The Cavaliers, who improved to 8-6 with Friday’s win, have yet to reveal how they plan to fill Mobley’s minutes during his absence.
