A 2003-04 Upper Deck Exquisite Collection “Emblems of Endorsements” card featuring Kobe Bryant sold for $1.22 million, including the buyer’s premium, during a Goldin Auctions event on Dec. 11, 2025.

The sale marks the third-highest public price ever paid for a standalone Bryant card. The piece is autographed in blue ink, numbered 8/15, graded near-mint 8 by Beckett Grading Services, and displays two multicolored game-used patches cut from a No. 8 Lakers jersey.

The same auction produced three additional lots that surpassed the $500,000 threshold:

  • 2005 Topps Finest SuperFractor die-cut Tom Brady card — $704,550
  • 1997-98 Skybox Metal Universe Precious Metal Gems Red Michael Jordan card — $651,334
  • 1998 Pokémon Japanese Promo Holo Illustrator Pikachu card — $610,000

The all-time record for any sports trading card remains a one-of-one Bryant/Jordan Dual Logoman, which fetched $12.932 million in August 2024. That card was purchased jointly by “Shark Tank” investor Kevin O’Leary, collector Matt Allen (also known as Shyne150), and entrepreneur Paul Warshaw.
