The Denver Nuggets are expanding their bench, adding Mike Moser and planning to hire Chase Buford as assistant coaches, according to Michael Scotto of HoopsHype.
Moser, a former overseas forward, has spent the past two NBA seasons as an assistant with the Houston Rockets. His earlier stops in player development include the Dallas Mavericks and Boston Celtics. While in Houston, he worked primarily with the club’s wing players and maintained a long-standing relationship with Rockets head coach Ime Udoka.
Buford, the son of longtime San Antonio Spurs executive R.C. Buford, brings experience from several levels of basketball. He guided the Wisconsin Herd, the Milwaukee Bucks’ G League affiliate, in 2021 before taking over the Sydney Kings of Australia’s NBL. Last season, he served as an analyst at the University of Kansas, where he was a walk-on guard for three years.
