Brooklyn Nets player Noah Clowney attributed his long-awaited breakthrough on the court to a simple shift in mindset, telling reporters he “just stopped caring.”
The comment came on Dec. 9 after what the team called the forward’s breakout performance. Clowney explained that letting go of concerns about mistakes allowed him to play more freely and confidently, leading to his most impactful outing since joining the Nets.
He did not specify when the change in attitude began, but emphasized that the reduced self-imposed pressure made an immediate difference in his play.
