The Los Angeles Clippers have scheduled six bobblehead giveaway promotions for the upcoming season, the highest total of any franchise in the NBA.
The promotional slate begins in January and runs through late March, aligning each collectible with a specific home game at the Intuit Dome, the team’s new 18,300-seat arena and the site of this season’s NBA All-Star Game.
Bobblehead giveaway schedule
Jan. 12: Kris Dunn
Feb. 2: Chris Paul
Feb. 22: James Harden
Mar. 4: Bradley Beal
Mar. 16: Nicolas Batum
Mar. 25: Kawhi Leonard
According to industry estimates cited in the announcement, teams can purchase bobbleheads in bulk for roughly $3 apiece. At full capacity, a single giveaway night at the Intuit Dome would place the expenditure near $55,000; two such nights—those featuring Kris Dunn and Nicolas Batum—would approach $110,000.
The Clippers are owned by Steve Ballmer, one of the league’s wealthiest governors, and have not indicated any ticket-price adjustments tied to the promotions.
The club did not announce additional themed nights beyond the six bobblehead dates.
