Seth Curry to Rejoin Warriors on One-Year Contract

Shooting guard Seth Curry will sign a one-year contract with the Golden State Warriors on Monday, keeping him with the team for the remainder of the 2025-26 season, ESPN’s Shams Charania reported.

Curry, 35, took part in Golden State’s training camp but was waived in mid-October when the club trimmed its roster. The move was primarily driven by second-apron payroll limitations that left no room for his veteran-minimum salary.

NBA insider Marc Stein had indicated at the time that the Warriors planned to bring Curry back as soon as league rules allowed, pinpointing Nov. 11 as the earliest possible date. By waiting several additional weeks, Golden State reduced the prorated cap hit of Curry’s contract, offering slightly more flexibility under the second apron.

The 11-year veteran spent last season with the Charlotte Hornets, leading the league in three-point accuracy at 45.6% on 182 attempts. The 6-foot-1 guard owns career averages of 10.0 points and a 43.3% three-point mark over 402 regular-season games.

This signing will unite Seth with his older brother, Stephen Curry, on an NBA roster for the first time.
