The Golden State Warriors are expected to finalize a deal Monday that will keep veteran guard Seth Curry with the club for the remainder of the 2025-26 season, sources told ESPN.
Curry, 33, spent training camp with Golden State but was released just before opening night because the team lacked salary-cap flexibility. The franchise is hard-capped at the NBA’s second apron and carried only 14 players into the season to create enough prorated room to add Curry later as the 15th man.
The reunion of Seth with his older brother, Stephen Curry, will have to wait. Stephen, the Warriors’ leading scorer at 27.9 points per game, remains sidelined by a left quad strain and is scheduled for a reevaluation next week. Golden State entered Monday at 11-10.
Seth Curry is entering his 12th NBA campaign. He began his professional journey with the Warriors’ G League affiliate in Santa Cruz before embarking on a path that has taken him to 10 NBA teams. Over that span he has hit 945 three-pointers while converting 43.3% of his attempts, the seventh-best rate in league history. He led the league in three-point percentage last season at 45.6%.
The guard opted last summer that the timing was finally right to join forces with Stephen, who has long expressed a desire to share an NBA backcourt with his younger brother.
