The Clippers dropped their sixth straight game at Crypto.com Arena on Friday, falling to the Grizzlies, 112-107, despite a 39-point night from Kawhi Leonard. Los Angeles led by 16 in the first half but has now lost 12 of its last 14 overall.
“Every second half, we don’t come out right,” center Ivica Zubac said. “We’re not playing the right way. It feels a little bit mental.”
Leonard added that the entire roster must contribute: “It can’t be two players, can’t be three. It has to be the whole 15, even guys on the bench that aren’t playing.”
Lakers
Luka Doncic burned his former club in the Lakers’ 129-119 victory over the Mavericks, finishing with 35 points and 11 assists. Head coach J.J. Redick praised the star guard’s balance on and off the ball, noting, “When he’s in that mode, he’s really hard to guard.”
Suns
Guard Grayson Allen (right quad contusion) sat out Friday’s matchup with Oklahoma City, but head coach Jordan Ott said the veteran is progressing well after going through full-court work Thursday. Allen has been sidelined since Nov. 13.
Warriors
Jonathan Kuminga, who logged 12 scoreless minutes Wednesday against San Antonio, is questionable for Saturday’s game versus New Orleans with soreness in both knees. Gary Payton II (ankle) is listed as probable, while Stephen Curry (quad), Al Horford (sciatica) and De’Anthony Melton (knee) remain out.
