Draymond Green Exchanges Words With Pelicans Fan Over ‘Angel Reese’ Jabs

New Orleans, Nov. 17, 2025 — Golden State Warriors forward Draymond Green walked toward the stands and confronted a New Orleans Pelicans fan on Monday night after the spectator repeatedly shouted “Angel Reese” at him, according to the New York Post.
Witnesses told the outlet that Green warned the fan he would “punch” him if the taunting continued. Arena security and Warriors personnel quickly stepped in and separated the two before the situation escalated further.
The exchange took place at Smoothie King Center during the Warriors’ road matchup against the Pelicans. Play was briefly halted while officials ensured the fan remained in his seat and Green returned to the court.
No ejections or technical fouls were issued in connection with the incident. The NBA had not announced whether Green could face disciplinary action as of late Monday.
The fan’s reference to LSU basketball star Angel Reese — a New Orleans native who led the Tigers to the 2023 women’s national championship — appeared to trigger the confrontation. Green did not address reporters after the game.
