Through limited action this year, Davis is averaging 20.8 points, 10.2 rebounds and 1.6 steals while shooting 52 percent from the field. He earns $54.1 million this season, is owed $58.5 million in 2024-25 and holds a $62.8 million player option for 2027-28.
League sources expect the Mavericks to consult closely with Davis’s agent, Rich Paul, while evaluating in-season trade possibilities. A move to Detroit would mark the fourth franchise stop for the eight-time All-Star and member of the NBA’s 75th Anniversary Team.
