Suns guard Jalen Green leaves early after aggravating right hamstring

Phoenix Suns guard Jalen Green was forced out of Saturday night’s matchup with the Los Angeles Clippers after re-injuring his right hamstring late in the first quarter.

The 23-year-old pulled up on a drive with roughly 40 seconds remaining in the period and needed assistance as he headed to the locker room. The Suns quickly ruled him out for the rest of the game.

Green has been battling the same hamstring problem since training camp and aggravated it again during the team’s preseason trip to China. The setback kept him out of Phoenix’s first eight regular-season games before he made his team debut in Thursday’s win over the Clippers.

The guard, acquired from the Houston Rockets in a summer trade that sent Kevin Durant to Houston, had scored two points in seven minutes before Saturday’s exit.
