INDIANAPOLIS — After missing seven games with a strained left shoulder, Indiana Pacers guard Andrew Nembhard is on track to return Saturday night against the Denver Nuggets.
The Pacers upgraded the 25-year-old to questionable, but team insider Scott Agness reported that Nembhard is expected to suit up in Denver. The injury occurred early in Indiana’s season opener.
Nembhard’s comeback offers relief to an injury-ravaged roster that will be without seven other players on Friday, several of whom face long recoveries. The Canadian combo guard—selected 31st overall in the 2022 draft—was poised for an expanded role this year with All-Star Tyrese Haliburton sidelined for the entire 2025-26 season after Achilles surgery.
Indiana will also debut newly signed veteran Monte Morris on Saturday. The 30-year-old point guard, drafted 51st overall by Denver in 2017, spent five seasons with the Nuggets. Morris said he likes how his skill set meshes with the Pacers’ up-tempo, read-and-react system. “I think it’ll be good,” Morris noted. “This is maybe the first team I’ve been on in the league with pace that I’m used to.”
