Heat’s Bam Adebayo ruled out of Friday’s game against Hornets with toe sprain

Miami Heat center Bam Adebayo will miss Friday’s meeting with the Charlotte Hornets after an MRI confirmed a sprain of his left big toe, the club announced Thursday.
The Heat listed the 28-year-old as day-to-day. Adebayo left Wednesday’s 122-112 loss in Denver after just eight minutes, checking himself out late in the first quarter.
Despite the setback, Adebayo has opened the 2025-26 campaign strongly, averaging 19.9 points and 8.1 rebounds.
Miami remains without guard Tyler Herro, who is still recovering from surgery on his left foot following an offseason ankle injury. Herro also dealt with a left-foot impingement last season.
