NBA Sets Thursday Release for 2025-26 Regular-Season Schedule

The NBA will publish its complete 2025-26 regular-season schedule on Thursday, August 14, the league announced Monday.
As in previous years, several headline matchups have already surfaced. Last Friday, ESPN’s Shams Charania reported that opening night will feature the Rockets visiting the Thunder and the Warriors facing the Lakers in Los Angeles.
Charania also confirmed the league’s five Christmas Day contests, which will include four Western Conference games and one clash from the Eastern Conference.
The NBA said additional high-profile games will be revealed Tuesday on morning shows Good Morning America (ABC) and The Today Show (NBC). All matchups disclosed during those segments are slated to air on ESPN/ABC or NBC/Peacock.
Last season, the league released the full Emirates NBA Cup slate a couple of days before announcing the rest of the regular-season calendar. The NBA has not indicated whether it will follow the same timeline this year, but if so, the in-season tournament schedule could arrive within the next 24 to 48 hours.
