The Charlotte Hornets announced Thursday that guard/forward Brandon Miller will be sidelined for at least two more weeks after further tests confirmed a shoulder subluxation.
The 22-year-old sustained the partial dislocation during Charlotte’s second game of the season, one night after opening the campaign with 25 points and seven assists. The club said Miller will stay on his current rehabilitation plan and will undergo another evaluation in two weeks.
According to the team, surgery is not being considered at this time. NBA reporter Chris Haynes previously noted that Miller sought a second opinion following the initial diagnosis on October 27.
Miller appeared in 74 games as a rookie but was limited to 27 contests last season after undergoing surgery on his right wrist. His latest setback will keep him out of the Hornets’ next six games. Charlotte is 3-4 after finishing last season 19-63.
