Atlanta — The Atlanta Hawks have exercised the $13.8 million team option on forward Zaccharie Risacher for the 2026-27 season, the club confirmed. The decision keeps the No. 1 overall pick from the 2024 NBA Draft under contract for an additional year.

Risacher, 20, overcame a slow start to his rookie campaign, boosting his scoring average from 10.5 points on 40.0 percent shooting over his first 38 games to 14.9 points while hitting 51.8 percent from the field and 41.8 percent from three during the closing stretch. The French wing has been limited this fall by a right ankle sprain, missing two contests, and is averaging 8.7 points through five appearances in the new season.

NBA teams have until Friday to finalize decisions on 2026-27 rookie-scale options. Atlanta’s move on Risacher was widely expected.

Clippers Pass on Kobe Brown’s Fourth Year

The Los Angeles Clippers have declined the 2026-27 team option on forward Kobe Brown, according to HoopsHype. Selected 30th overall in 2023, Brown will be on track for unrestricted free agency in 2026 unless moved or waived beforehand. He is set to earn $2.65 million this season, his third in the league.

Brown, 25, has appeared in 84 NBA games with an average of 7.9 minutes per outing. He made a bigger impact in the G League last season, posting 21.0 points and 5.5 rebounds per game for the San Diego Clippers.

Alex Len Signs Multi-Year Deal with Real Madrid

Veteran center Alex Len has signed a multi-year contract with Real Madrid, the Spanish club announced Thursday. The agreement includes an NBA opt-out clause for next season.

Len, 31, was waived by the New York Knicks earlier this month after a brief training-camp stay. He split the 2023-24 NBA season between the Sacramento Kings and Los Angeles Lakers, appearing in 46 games and averaging 1.6 points and 2.1 rebounds.

The No. 5 pick in the 2013 draft has played for six NBA teams—Phoenix, Atlanta, Sacramento, Toronto, Washington and the Lakers—across 12 seasons.
