ATLANTA — Georgia authorities are still trying to locate a $180,000 Range Rover customized for NBA legend Shaquille O’Neal that disappeared earlier this month.

The Lumpkin County Sheriff’s Office said the SUV was taken from a fabrication shop in northeast Georgia and is believed to have been moved to the metro Atlanta area last week. The vehicle had been scheduled for transport to Baton Rouge, Louisiana, so O’Neal could use it while attending a Louisiana State University football game, but it never reached its destination, according to CBS News Atlanta.

Investigators have identified several possible suspects and executed multiple search warrants, the sheriff’s office added.

California-based Effortless Motors, which has customized vehicles for O’Neal since 2023, handled the upgrades tailored to the Hall of Famer’s 7-foot-1 frame. A company spokesperson told CBS News Atlanta that FirstLine Trucking LLC—the firm hired to handle transportation—reported its system had been hacked around the time the SUV vanished.

Effortless Motors is offering a $10,000 reward for information leading to the recovery of the customized Range Rover, news outlets reported.
