NEW YORK — Karl-Anthony Towns was in the New York Knicks lineup on Wednesday, October 22, even after being diagnosed with a grade-2 quadriceps strain earlier in the day.
The team disclosed the injury shortly before tip-off, but the center elected to play through it and started the game. The outing was described as “one hell of a day” for Towns, who showed no immediate sign of leaving the floor.
The Knicks said their medical staff will continue to evaluate the strain but did not announce any change to Towns’ status going forward.
